just saw hostel (for the retards: yes, there will be spoilers)

It was a very very gory movie, and as the movie unfolds and you start peicing it together you realize it's an organization that wealthy people from all over the world pay large sums of money to indulge in their sick fantasies of torturing and killing people. It basically is a "snuff" house. Snuff films and Snuff houses still do exist in these type countries, so for me it was a plausible story line. The police, and some of the towns people were corrupted by the money, and used the tourists to abduct for their underground trade. If was really sick when that poor asian girl was being tortured by that guy, and he took a Blowtorch to her face and eye... Uuuugggh! then her eyeball popped out! But I loved the ending when the college kid saw one of the wealthy participants who had killed and tortured one of his college buddies getting on a train, then cornered him in a bathroom.. I won't say anymore about what he did... but justice was served!

The scene on the train in the begining where the two college guys, and the their friend from germany that they just met are all sitting in the cab are together. Then the old man comes into their cab on the train and starts eating salad with his hands... then touches the kid with his hand on the inner thigh, and the kid freaks out and says Don't F*cking touch me man! and the old man freaks out, and leaves. Then his German friends starts poking fun at him and says something like, ooooh, you've just been touched by "Edward Salad Hands"... and does his hands in the air like the scene from Edward Scissor Hands... I thought that was funny.

not really. think about it: if the main character hadn't chickened out and gone down their sooner, she would've been saved before the torture started.

this movie sucked hard. it was gratuitous gore just because the director wanted it to be gorey, just to see how far he could push it. there was no art.

Well, it is not a movie that would get thumbs up for good plot or performance, more like a B rated movie, but it is gorey, and it did keep my attention, and it was entertaining. But it is one of those movies where you are going... "what the hell is he doing! How stupid is that... don't go down there dummy! What a dumbass... Ok, if you do that your just asking for it... oh, Sh*t he is gonna get it! and then of course he gets it.... big time. :roll:

Some portions of the movie are predictable, and then other portions are not, because it does have a few weird twists. But like I said entertaining if you like gore/slasher type films.

yes. that's the movie. exactly waht it is. I think it even says that on the DVD case 'women get raped in cells and have their eyeballs taken out"

 
I thought the gang of little kids who beat the crap out of the tourists for money, was kinda funny... the bad guys toward the end get it by them.. and there is a scene where there heads get crushed in by these little kids with bricks... kinda gorey, but the little kids were bribed with candy by the college kid who was trying to get away from the bad guys...
 
Sex scenes wasn't all that great. Pretty stupid movie imo. The general idea was great, just the whole 'elite' organization thing was lame.

All slasher movies have stupid sex scenes and depict women / girls as bimbos and mindless sex zombies anyhow...

Yea, it could have been much much better, the initial idea was a good one.. oh well...

i thought it was ok, thought it could be better.

Instead of going after tourists I think they should have been using random kids from poor families or something and then the tourists stumble upon this and since they find the secret then they try and use the american kids, not targetting young american kids all the way from amsterdam...not that it was trying to be realistic, but still
