I saw it last night and liked it a lot. From the previews and the posters in the theater, it looks like it's going to be an extra-crappy movie season this winter.

That's a good thing, dubbing makes even the most serious of foreign movies look like a generic godzilla flick.

Subtitles are indeed alright IMO. Hero was a great movie and I barely even noticed the subtitles(I did read them though) after awhile. It's movies where the Dialogue is the main point of the movie where subtitles get in the way.

What I wasn't aware of was that this movie was made for China first & was huge hit there ... I didn't read any reviews at all before I went & I agree that dubbing english over the original soundtrack is a joke.

Actually the more I think about it, this is my favorite Jet Li movie by a pretty wide margin & I'll be buying the DVD when its released
