Was Samuel L Jackson and all the others guys we saw at the end really military guys, or was it all just an undercover operation?

The movie was one huge mess of confusion. I mean, the plot twists at the end came one after another.

Hollywood's formula for "what the hell do we do with this mess of a movie!?" ;)

Just saw it last night. I believe they were supposed to be an undercover operation. Maybe they had military training so they'd blend in with the others?

I want my hour and a half back. It was Sword Fish without a naked Halle Berry(no redeeming qualities)

Acting was fine but the plot sucked major monkey nuts. I still don't get it as well, and watched certain parts of it more than once.

imho it would have been better to leave the last 10 minutes on the cutting room floor.

I have a question too, is it possible to get a refund for such a bad bad movie?

This is one of those movies where nothing stands up to a logical analysis. You just have to suspend your disbelief and be "blown away" by the wacky crazy plot twists...

They were all really military guys; as the voiceover said, the best of the best. Travolta and Jackson's characters were old buddies from Travolta's training days, so when Travolta needed recruits for his new agency, where better to turn? So, then, the rest of the events in the movie served two purposes:

1. To flush out the drug traffickers being run out of the hospital and all responsible, to the very top.
2. What better way to keep your new covert agency "black" than to have all but one of its members assumed dead?

I liked the movie, but thought the pace was all wrong. Too fast. They needed a pseudo-Stanley Kubrick director to make it really work.

I don't get it?

what was so confusing about it. it seemed pretty simple to me.

You just have to understand that each story was told as they were supposed to tell it from their perspective.

in the end they were section 8.

they had all been military guys, some of them older, some newer, and none of them was who they said they were
