Just replaced a CPU now I have this problem...

I know that I have the jumpers set right so that's not an issue. The CPU was dead on this computer. I tested it with another CPU, so that's how I know. However, before the computer would light up, but do nothing. However, now after I've replaced it with a new processor, the computer lights up briefly and then shuts down. It sounded like a voltage problem, but I'm sure that is not the case. Anyone know what would cause it to just start up and then turn back off without posting?

some m/boards can do this if no cpu fan rotation is detected, the most common cause being the cpu fan not being plugged into the boards cpu fan header!
what board is it??

Here is an update sorta. The problem with the first processor(same model and everything) was that the green power light and the red HDD light would stay solid and nothing would post and the power and reset buttons would do nothing. However, as I noted earlier this one just turned itself off. I tried booting up without a cpu in case there was something stored in the bios. When I did this, and turned it on I got the same probably I had with the first processor...solid lights. Then I reseated the processor and tried again. Instead of turning on and off again like it did initially, it stayed on just like the old bad processor.
