Well our Governor has made it clear that nobody should be on the road. Violators (if caught, hehe) face a $1000 fine so they're not kidding! It's been a rough day. It's been a pretty normal event up to a few hours ago when something strange happened. The wind has picked up as well and it's snowing hard enough to hear it on the windows like sleet, but it's not! I turned on the searchlight and it looks like the heavens are spilling mothballs everywhere! :Q

The house across the street is for sale and has a typical 36" tall sign in the front yard. At dusk, only the top 6" of the sign was visible!

This storm easily beats the storms of 2000, 1996, 1983, and 1979 (Ironically on the same day known as the President's Day -storm--now we'll have to refer to President's Day '79 or '03!)

Anyways, enjoy your snow. You people up North shouldn't get clobbered as bad as us, but this one will go down in the history books for sure. This may even outdo the knickerbocker storm of 1922! :Q

And before someone says "pics?" they're coming! I haven't finished taking them! Snow is still falling. I started taking them early Sunday after a thunderclap at 07:32 woke me up! Gotta love my G2 and microdrives! :)

Cheers!

I am at work, the $64 question is when I'll get to leave, Route 1 was horrid at 11am and they're calling for 2 feet of snow.Ah,the joys of being deemed "essential " :)

Where do you live in central MA? Boston is getting hammered right now. :) Well... not hammered, but getting a good amount of snow.

It looks like the same storm that hit us in the D.C. area yesterday is working it's way up the coast. Half-way through the storm, we got a few hours' worth of freezing rain. It made the shoveling process quite heavy (due to the dense frozen moisture mixed in with the snow.)

I'll send it out in the morning. I'll ship it C.O.D. - have your Visa card ready when it arrives. Oh, you might want to call your credit card company today and get your spending limit raised, because the shipping isn't going to be cheap. :Q
