This is quite possibly one of the best feelings in the world.
I honestly have no desire to work or even look for a new job right now.

Not when you quit...
Must be nice to be in a position to just quit work because you don't feel like working.
everyone on ATOT (except u, apparently) are 1%'ers.
I might have to quit in 3 weeks, and I'm kind of looking forward to it!
There's something very liberating about having that kind of freedom. And it's not like I couldn't find another job in IT...

Keep at it. Between the house and 2 cars, I would guess ~$1500/mo not going out each month. But I still have the other stuff to see about.Yea me and my wife are HARD paying our house right now. Down to 180k-ish and should have it paid off in 2 years. After that F-You jobs if you piss us off.![]()

There is something liberating about it because everyone else is working and you're not. The guy who takes your order? Working. The workers maintaining the roads you drive on? Working. Filling up the gas at the gas station? Working.
Point being - I Would feel fuckin' ashamed to be sucking on the government teet that everyone else in this nation seems to spiel loud and proud.
Not true, depends on why you quite and job.
That's actually not why it's liberating. It's liberating because I don't have any need to stay in one particular job for the security of having a steady paycheck. If the working environment gets bad enough, I can just leave. THAT is where the liberation comes from.
And I guess you missed the part where I said that it shouldn't be hard to find another IT job![]()
