Just quit my job today

Over the past 3 yrs, I have been working as a software developer at this small startup telecom company... I am very happy here, love my work, and my boss gives me tons of good opportunities...

However I just quit today...

Not because something bad happened... everything is still the same... but I got an offer as a Sytems Analyst at one of the Big 4 consulting firms, and I will take it... I feel this is a good opportunity for me to gain a lot of valuable experience, experience I cannot get working at my current job...

Things will be tough I'm sure... I'll have to work my ass off at the new job, but I think I will also get to learn a lot of new things... I will be doing a lot of travelling as well (which means my gf and I wont get to see each other as often), but I think I will manage...

BTW, I'm 23...
 
Change is good.

I believe that I'm going to be quitting my job soon and going back to school, again.
 
I am quite attached to the company I work for currently... It is the first real job I have that's related to my career, and I really enjoyed working here for the past 3 yrs... It was very tough making this decision...

My boss announced me leaving today, and I actually feel sad 🙁
 
almost every job i've ever quit i've felt some guilt.

just be assured that you are going to be a much better place with potential.
 
Congrats and good luck. Not everyone can handle all the traveling... but at 23... it'll be the best time to do it.
