i was changing a taillight bulb in my 86 300zx and was trying to unscrew the bulb...well i think that bulb is about 10 years old or something, because as soon as i put the slightest pressure on it to try and remove it it shattered in my hand...i cut my thumb and first finger pretty bad...no pics, don't have a digicam handy...i got what was left out with a potato...now i'm afraid to put much pressure on the new bulb to screw it in...pwned by really old glass...

I have these 8 year light bulbs. Cost like 18 dollars at the store. Never had to change them. My mom did something with n star and they changed all the bulbs and did computerized stuff with the plug saved a lot.

That happened to me once when I worked at Advance...I was changing a bulb in a customer's truck, and it broke in my hand. Cut my finger pretty good - but I just shrugged it off, threw a bandaid on it, got some needlenose pliers, and yanked the rest of it out and replaced it.

Turns out the guy was a delivery driver for Domino's...he showed up about an hour later and gave me a large Meat Lover's pizza free of charge for my trouble :D
