Just put XP on my laptop that came with Vista

Hello.

I notice a significant lack of mobile controls with XP compared to Vista. Any recommendations for a good 3rd party application that can really help me get the most out of my battery?

My laptop is an Acer Extensa 4420.

AMD Turion 64 X2 TK-57 1.9Ghz
2GB DDR2
Radeon Xpress 1250
160GB Drive
Windows XP Professional

Is there anything that can just lock my processor into the lowest clock mode it has even if it is at 100% processor load?

Try RMclock? I dunno if it works well ornot.
