And by officially I mean I just did it online so it will take a few days, then it will be official, but I am already pretty happy about it!

What was the interest rate? I have a student loan that is pretty low interest that I won't pay off in full because of that fact.
 
I just paid off my private (still have federal ones, but at 3.37%, who gives a shit) ones, so I know exactly know how you feel! It's pretty awesome.

Congrats! (and 23k in 14 months is insane!) :thumbsup:

Congrats. I am in the process of aggressively paying off my private student loans and a car loan. If all goes according to plan, I should have both paid off by the end of this year. The interest rates on the private loans are low now, but I figure it's only a matter of time before rates start to rise. Paying down the loans early provides me with a risk free return on my money that exceeds any other risk-free investment out there right now.

I'm having to live pretty cheap in the meantime, but I think it's worth it.

I will have pulled myself 100% out of debt (car loans, credit cards, etc) by september 15th. I am pretty jazzed!
