Just pulled the trigger on an HIS HD 4850 IceQ 4 Turbo. What kind of perfomance increase should I see?

Going from the 8800 GTS 320MB to the 4850, what kind of performance increase should I see at that resolution?

overclock your 4850 and use 8.10 newest. You should see something like this (or better):
