Yeah my bmw 540 is like that, Almost backed into someone at a stop light.

How would you do that? the reverse gear is so much farther than 1st.

There is a dial that has numbered settings that aims them as you like...they are not auto aiming that I know of.

Just took a few quick pics and I'm resizing now...

Well, I doubt I'll do that because you need to actually push the shifter down to get over there...but it takes getting used to.

Also, putting it in sixth on the highway is nerve wracking at first...it's like I'm putting it in reverse at highway speed...lol.

I was looking at a normal Mazda 6 S, and I could get a better deal on the MS6, and it was actually cheaper to insure. After I drove it, that sealed the deal. It's not the fastest thing on the road, and that's fine, but it sticks to the road like glue, and there is almost no turbo lag to speak of...
