my fav games are splinter cell(was fairly easy to beat, although the otherlvl they released gave me a few more hours of enjoyment and Halo, halos resorted to 95% multiplayer though the campaigns fun the first time through though

Drama between myself and 1)New, fresh store manager 2) district manager 3) long standing hatred of Regional Director

Basically, they pulled the manager I had out of the store and stuck him somewhere else, hoping my store would perform better. Performance went down, I had a stern talk with new manager who did not like my tone as I was only a Assistant Manager. Performance continued to go down as no one liked the new manager. District manager then sends ME 2 MITs to train since I was probably the strongest operational manager he has ever had. So I was getting pounded on all sides with no time left to defend myself. And it didn't help that after the talk I had with the current store manager, he called both the district manager and regional director to talk about me.

They offered me 2 options A) Go to new store in ghetto neighborhood B) Go to older existing store in ghetto neighborhood (both areas have high rates of crime). I then told them offer C) I am putting in my 2 weeks.

I don't like having the carpet pulled out from under me more than once. This was the 3rd time they were doing this to me, so I told them I wouldn't be staying. The stress of my position and lack of forward advancement after a year of excellent performance prompted me to tell them to stick it.

James - that sucks dood. Retail is $hitty like that - you have these half ass dimwits in regional or even right above you with probably no real opportunity in life so they take out their frustrations on you when you speak your mind. That's how it was at Office Max before I quit. (Similar situation to yours) Good for you to quit though

The best part is that the 2 MITs I had for a week were thrilled with me because I knew almost everything After I left, my assistant and both MITs told the District manager that it was stupid just to let me go and not even attempt to keep me. The manager I had before they transferred him out is one of my good friends and he tells me that the store still doesn't perform to what the Corporate assholes want. It made my day
