Just picked up $140 canadian from my local chase branch

How can I tell if it's new or old but they look very used, maybe its just paper quality sucks compare to US dollars

Elfenix,

I wish it was, but with sucky exchange rate by chase its $100.01 US, Once I am in Canada I should be able to get $100US for $151 Canadian

How much did you pay American?

Seems like you should have gotten more to me. 153.60 at todays exchange rate.

well if they are old style they'll be similar in style to the 20's and 50's, if they're new they'll be distinctly different, i think the 10 has in flanders fields on the back of it, the 5 has some hockey thing i think. i don't have any on me to see.

That's a pretty steep exchange rate.

McDonalds gives a better exchange rate here! :Q

N8Magic, i guess its fair exchange rate for convenience

I will be entering Canada without looking for a bank, will have some cash in pocket, plus it was delivered to my branch via fedex overnight.

100.00 USD
United States Dollars = 152.861 CAD
Canada Dollars
1 USD = 1.52861 CAD 1 CAD = 0.654188 USD

hehe maybe by the time I go , it will be $155

I didn't like the thought of toonies and loonies and first but after they came out they are kinda neat to use. Nothing like grabbing a handful of change and having $20+ in it.

Why didn't you just use an ATM once you cross the border. I just did that last week and the exchaneg rate was wayyyyy better. Not exactly hard to find on either.

hey did they give you coins at all or all bills? i couldn't get my canadians coins exchanged, have to do it at the airport next time, they only take bills.
