Just Passed Microsoft Exam 70-210 (Windows 2K Pro)

Man, that was 60 questions of pure agonizing hell. Not really that tough, but some seriously long ass questions. Oh well, now on to 70-215.

I found 215 easy. Brush up on group policies, Disk Management (when to 'repair' "reactivate', etc.), and unattended installs (name of the answer file, where to put it, etc., when you would use a RIS server, etc.)

Appreciate it guys. I'll probably take the next one in a few weeks, so I'll drop a line and let you guys know how it went. Any body else studying to take any certification test?

I am studying for 70-216. I am supposed to take it this saturday. I am thinking of pusing it out another week.

Studying to become MCSE in Windows 2000. I am already an MCSE in NT 4.0. Certifications with Microsoft appear to last indefanitely at this point. That could change in the future though.

Shouldn't someone by now chimed in and post that "certs are worthless, get a degree." and then someone will point out that degrees are worthless, you need experience. Finally, someone will say that they got a job right out of high school without any certs or exp. BTW, nice job, I'm gonna get A+ so I can get a decent job over x-mas break.

I took the A+ exam. 20 mins of wasted time as far as I am concerned.

Passed both of them in 20 mins. It took me longer to drive to the exam site then it did to take them.

I hate 216:disgust: Also make sure you go to a test center with a decent monitor resolution(at least 1024x768) when you take the designing exams.

215 was easy as hell.. could have done it in my sleep 😀

brain dumps are for fvcking loosers. god.

With all the brain dumps out there, MCSE cert is useless. dont waste your time, unless your employer is paying for it.

Also, why waste time with 2000? Go Server 2003 certified if your going to even bother.

I don't think you can test all of the required exams you need for MCSE2003, at least by looking at Prometrics offerings.

Never hurts to have a certification and have a little something extra to put on your resume to stand out among others. Also, Most business are going to be using Windows 2000 for awhile, so why not be certified in the OS that most businesses are using? Most companies won't jump on 2003 right away if they are are already on the 2000 platform. They will probably skip to the next operating system which is Windows 2005. I'll probably skip over Windows 2003 as well, unless my job pays for that as well.

Bottom line: It's not a waste of time.

Braindumps are a waste of time becuase you end up looking stupid sooner or later when someone puts your MCSE knowledge to the test.

Congrats. I don't want to burst your happy bubble, but 210 is the easiest of the lot. Now, 216 (at least when I did it) is a really tough cookie.

Some people think MCSE is a waste of time, but i disagree. It's a good cert to show you have good allround skills with Microsoft Windows. Plus it's still in high demand right across the world.
