You can use nvflash to extract the existing bios, then use a program called nibitor to edit the voltage value, and create your own new bios.

Basically, you can create your own values, then apply your new bios back to your card (again with nvflash).

Google "nvflash" "nibitor" "nvidia bios mods" "6800 voltage mod", etc. Don't know how much more headroom you'll have with the Ultra. It was really popular to take 6800GT's add a little voltage, then run higher clocks.

What is your max OC now?

thanx for the quick replay. Honestly, I dont know the max OC because i parted out my rig in anticipation of conroe and that i would pick up a x1900 to go the the setup, but then i forgot that i had a 6800U back home so i figure i would try to squeeze some more time out of it. Either way, i have a VF900 coming that will hopefully help in the OC

is the 6800 series that same as the 7900 in the sense that you want to stick to 1.4-1.5v?

Not exactly sure, but I would guess yes. The 6800GPU might be able to take even more volts because it's not as small of a die-shrink as the 7900 series. 13 microns I believe.

I wouldn't take this as an opportunity to pump megavolts through, but 1.5 should be fine.

AFAIK its already running less volts or more than the 7 series was... wow so i basically know nothing ;)

i dont think a volt mod will help you too much , ive seen somewhere people getting 450+ on their core but i do not know where that was or what settings / cooling
