Hello,
Just ordered the following components for my new Core i5 rig:
Mainboard: Gigabyte GA-P55-UD3R
CPU: Intel Core i5 750
RAM: 2 x Kingston ValueRAM DDR3-1066MHz 4 GB (8GB total)
Graphics card: Asus EAH4870 DK/HTDI/512MD5
System disk: Corsair Extreme Series X128, 128GB SSD
Data disk: Samsung EcoGreen F2 1,5 TB S-ATA
I will be using the computer for video editing (1080p HD video), Lightroom and the occasional game.
Would like a moderate overclock on the CPU, maybe 3.5 to 4 GhZ. But I am concerned about the RAM. Ordered the cheapest low-level stuff I could find because all the better spec'd RAM are sold out in Norway at the moment. But could the RAM hinder the overclocking?
Could need some advice!
