Just ordered me some Papa John's pizza mmmmmm

Personal opinion, Papa John's has way too much sauce. I've had it in FL & CT, always drowning in pizza sauce.

A surprisingly good pizza is the small Pizza Margarita at Bertucci's. Other than their rolls, I don't really care for anything else there, but their margarita is absolutely fantastic (in the small size only).

Luckily I live near NYC with a plethora of pizza joints to choose from. Of course many suck but many are great. And I don't have to give that fucker any of my money to eat really good pizza

My wife was a police office for many years. She and her partner would often get food, not be able to finish it, and give the rest to homeless people they'd see walking around. One night they got Papa Johns pizza for free, and they both had one piece before deciding they didn't like it. They saw a homeless man walking down the street and offered it to him.

Hmm. I went to order PapaJohns Pizza tonight off of their web site, like I always do, and it was asking for my address. Strange. Then it said, that there were no stores within delivery range. Stranger still, since the store I've usually ordered from is one town over. So I called them, it just rings and rings. Uh-oh. Looks like they closed? (My local store)

They reduced their hours last month to 9-10PM, rather than midnight-1AM too. I guess that wasn't a good sign.

Papa John's is mediocre as pizza goes, but it or Domino's are my only local delivery options, so... yeah. It's better than Domino's.

A few weeks ago, I ordered one during some weather; internet said it would take up to two hours to get my food, I was like, "okay, drive safe." The snow wasn't as bad as expected, and PJ's got it to me in an hour. So, win/win.

A few days later, I get a postcard apologizing for not meeting their service standards and including a coupon for a free pizza. (?)

Fair enough, and I hear you. The best pizza around me is pickup only too. I have delivery options better than Papa John's and Dominoes though, and I am in rural central Ohio.

The cows are ornery, but the pizza is decent.

The only reason I like papa johns is how their crust is made for their garlic dip. I can't even eat it that often but sometimes I need to fully saturate myself with sodium.

Also sometimes they give out deals to friends of mine that work there where you can take a pizza that's just out of "sellable" time and they'll give it to the employees for free. Beats little Caesar's for quick and easy pizza.

Anyways, I was reading the ingredients a while back, and PJ's puts cellulose filler into both their crust and cheese. I guess that's their profit margin.

Still, if it helps me lose weight eating their (inert filler) pizza, it's not all bad.

Edit: Last time I checked, McD's uses "microcrystalline cellulose" in their shakes, too.

Edit: According to this article, PJ's is removing the cellulose from their Mozzarella.
