let me know how you like it when it comes in. TIA

I'm looking at the same one for a rig that will be used for converting VHS tapes to DVDs

Ya why not order the Leadtek 4400? Its $190 with free shipping... $20 more and the memory is much faster then that used on the 4200 (Over 100Mhz). And its retail not OEM.

That card scored the best in this article of 11 4200's tested here the link 4200 Showdown
I think im going to get the MSI it came in third behind the leadtek and the asus, I found it for 160 shipped would get the leadtek
but i would have to pay tax on it sux that neweggs in calif, i get stuff fast but I have to pay tax so it kinda kills their good prices for me

I'm really still undecided on getting a 4200 or a 8500 I dont game much but i do alot of video capturing and watching tv on my comp
so i really want the card the gives me the best display

AWESOME buy man, i HIGHLY RECCOMMEND this card!!!

I bought one, my dad got pissed off that I spent $200 on a video card without telling him, but well-worth the investment/getting in a lil trouble :)

I have this card overclocked AMAZINGLY to 299/598, which is 1 and 2 Mhz under ti 4600 speeds!!!!!!!!!

And regarding the cooling, all i can say dude, is i cant hear it over my HHC-001 CPU HSF, which i refer to as the 'screaming bitch'. but i dont think it makes too much noise.

Why pay $169 when you can get a 64meg Chaintech 4200 card for $130? I had that card for a few days to test out, and it was ocing just as well, 300/600. All geforces are pretty similiar anyways, why pay extra just for the brandname....and the extra 64meg of ram, which doesn't really increase performance that much.

the extra 64MB makes a huge difference when you have larger textures, especially in video and graphic editing. Also, I won't have to upgrade when for Unreal 2003 because of the 80MB textures!! heheheheh! w00t!

Ti4600's default speed is 300/650.

crap you burst my bubble...

i read on some other site advertising GF4 clockspeeds, that 4600 was 300/600.

well damn.

:) regardless, very decent overclock on this card!

I got it today, wooohoo!
can't wait to put this in my computer!

I put it in my computer, sloppily installed the drivers, and OH MY GOD EVERYTHING IS SOOOO FAST AND the 2d on my monitor was MUCH BETTER than my old geforce 256ddr. Also, the card is very solid. My other comp has some generic ti4200, but man this card is GREAT! I think it consumes too much power for my Antec 303X 300watt power supply. Anyone care to purchase it for say $35 shipped?
