Can't wait, paid $122(w/ shipping and tax) for board, $62 for memory..called to make sure they had the board in stock and everything..I have a question though, since i've never used an Epox board before..does anyone know what the AGP/PCI Dividers are on the new board, and if there is any fix for the low +5v issue besides modding my PSU?

Thanks

I'm not aware of any voltage issue's with the 8KHA, only the 8K7A. That was the +5v rail and was fixed in a revision of the board. Did you perhaps mean the 8K7A?

Well I haven't seen a board yet that had anything bigger than a 1:4 PCI divider. Apparently the rumours about the 8k7a and its 1:5 or 1:6 divider were false. So I'm guessing 1:4.

But did you mean 8K7A or 8KHA? If it was 8K7A then a BIOS update does allow 1/5th PCI divisor, and supposedly a 1/6th but I dont think anyone can reach 200MHz to try it.

The 8K7A does not have a 1/5 or 1/6 PCI divisor. This was proven to be a rumor by a few users who used a occiliscope to test the PCI bus. One of the bioses did something funky with the PCI latency to allow high FSB speeds. I was able to hit 195mhz FSB with one of mine, but the system was almost totally empty, and my hard drive developed a ton of bad sectors shortly after. The 8KHA or the 8KHA+ also just support 1/3 and 1/4 PCI divisors to my knowledge. I've got a 8KHA+ coming this week from Newegg and I'm going to stuff it with 768mb of DDR and see how it overclocks...:)
