Monday AT&T cancels my order with this odd explaination...

I was okay with getting canceled, because I realized this "deal" was an error with their website. But I wish they didn't make it sound like the order being canceled was due to my request. No big deal though it was going to get canceled regardless.

That's better.

They got pretty slammed with orders over the weekend I'm sure. Monday wasn't a good day for the AT&T employees most likely.

I ordered a S4 Active(to sell) and a Galaxy Note 8(to keep) $200 discount on the Note that way. $199 plus tax on the Note 8 made me jump on the deal.

Though, it's sketchy as hell that AT&T automatically switched people to 2 year contract for people who already gotten their phone.

All they need to do is return the phone and cancel service. 100% of them new the deal was shady from the getgo.

Its going to take AT&T a while to recover from this fiasco it looks like.

I got 6 emails from AT&T this am. 4 said my order was backordered, 2 said it shipped. Out for delivery currently, not worried tho as its a legit order.

It's a forum of people posting links and coupons. Probably the biggest deals website.

It's a legit site. Most of the deals posted are legit.

Some deals that are posted are pricing errors, website glitches, etc.

The AT&T deal was botb legit and a website glitch. SD kills these deals most of the time do to the vultures.

That is very shady indeed...
If I was one of the people affected, I would have filed a complaint with both the FCC and my State Attorney General.

I don't have a problem with AT&T canceling orders or intercepting UPS/FedEX shipments, but something like that they shouldn't be allowed to do.

hey, you wanna know what else is shady??? forcing people to be on a data plan, even though people brought in their own smartphone that they bought. im surprised no legal action has been taken against AT&T.

This deal is dead. You can get a new or add a line contract for 2years for a subsidized price of $99 still, but the month to month price of $320 is not even an option.

If you read the title of this topic and the first few posts, the (price mistake) deal was to get the Galaxy S4 for $320 without any contract commitment by creating a new month-to-month line which could be canceled without any penalty within three days (and keep the phone).
