Just ordered the water cooling case and CPU block. Does anyone have suggestions/pitfalls I may run into. This is my first wc setup and that is why I went with the Koolance.

Have you got the cpu200 block? thats a great improvement over the cpu100. I personally prefer all of the top fans blowing in one direction rather than the 1 in 2 out that it uses (at least on my model). Simple mods worth doing is getting a small 80mm radiator, thermaltake and micro - ice work well, and include that in the setup. See sig for my case, started off as a koolance.

I got the new 300 style that was just released. This one Can you be more specific on the radiator you are talking about? Where is it hooked up to?

I put it after the cpu block, that way the water is cooled again before returnng to the reservoir. Bare in mind my system produces even more hear than yours due to dual xp2500's producing close to 180 watts of heat!:D

I just bought a new Koolance case too! Let me know how it works out for you. I am DEING to put this bad boy together but am holding out for new mobo's for the A64 to come out. I am not impressed with anything available on the market right now.

Temps before with my 2.8 Prescott were 70C (Abit reports higher temps)under full load and after the install they are at 56c with Acell mode or 60c normal.

I ended up using the CPU200 waterblock since I did not recieve the CPU300 from Koolance yet. Anyone that has used this before, is it easy to swap or add parts to the system? Do I really have to drain the system first before adding a device?

Lay the case on its side and the very carefully (using lots of tissue/towels) remove the tubing. Keep the block above the case and you will be OK

I have 3 Koolance cases. I suggest you be very careful about putting any pressure on the tubes running from the reservoir. Make sure they have plenty of slack in them to prevent cracks from forming on the intake of the reservoir. Also, make sure you don't use the clear cooling fluid that requires you mix in distilled water. It allowed some lifeform to grow in the tubes of two cases until gas pressure caused a leak. Use the premixed green fluid that comes in the pouch that Koolance now includes with their new cases.

If you want extreme cooling use a peltier water block, or if you are worried about condensation, sandwich a peltier between a second CPU200 block and a standard cpu heat sink/fan Hot side towards the Heat sink of course.

I have the CPU300 and the new style chipset cooler in hand now so I hope to have them instaled by next week.

Moltres: as far as the tubing goes didn't they just change the tube type they use? I will only use the Koolance premix solution since it will void the warranty if you use something else.

The clear fluid was supplied by Koolance so it is under warranty, but they have stopped using it in favor of the green premixed liquid. There are still cases out there that have the clear stuff included.

As a followup, last night I was flushing one of the cases that leaked with alcohol to remove the algae (at Koolance's direction) and as soon as I moved the CPU block the reservoir intake snapped off. This is the second case that I'll have to RMA for that! It is hard to tell you how little pressure was necessary to snap that thing off, especially since I am so careful about it. That weakness is why Koolance eliminated this reservoir type. At least this time there were no components in the case to short out.

I am ready to put these things on eBay and switch to the Hydrocool or the EXoS.
