Just ordered a 1ghz T-Bird AXIA...

When I unlock this chip will it default to a lower speed? That's what I was told. What is the default multiplier/fsb? Also, what kind of OCs are some of you guys getting on this chip?

I'll be using the ASUS A7V133 and 512MB PC133 crucial

No, it will not default to a lower speed unless you have a board that doesnt support the speed and if you do it will go to a lower speed even if it is locked which will be 750mhz

Default multiplier will be 7.5 + 133 FSB

Some people are gettin 1.4ghz and higher in some cases

I'm currently running at 150x9.5= 1425, I was a bit higher awhile back but this setting is rock stable and my temps are great.. good luck

it depends on which 1ghz you got, they come in two flavors(200 and 266)
200 will default at 10x, 266 will default at 7.5x

So there is no way of knowing if you will get a AXIA or a AVIA chip?

Also, with the AXIAR... is that a 266?

What motherboard would work best with one of these?
