I know not to microwave a whole egg, but a microwaved beaten egg makes a fluffy patty perfect for sausage/egg bagel sandwiches and beats the pan/stove method by a mile. By the time the pan has heated up, I've made and half eaten the sandwich!

careful. i have seen a few people in the ER have permanent damage to their eyes after microwaving eggs and having them explode.
