Just noticed the Intel advert banner. Will Anandtech become the next PC Magazine.

It will start small. Future Anandtech review? "AMD's AthlonX still outperforms the PentiumX, but Intel may be the way to go if the price cuts come through. BTW, most of you will not be affected by the PentiumX's newly discovered bug."

If Intel pays, why shouldn't AnandTech accept? Just beacuse they advertise for them doesn't make them biased. Get a clue, man.

AT buys from an ad company, they don't determine what banners go up or not.

Deeko, I believe its a legit question. If ad space is sold blindly in bulk, I didn't know that and I would not have a cause for concern. Certainly, other "objective" publications have lost their objectivity over time due to the pressure of advertiser dollars. So, instead of taking the opportunity to educate me, you resort to name calling. Good job!

I'm not name-calling, I'm pointing out a fact. How does a website make money? Advertising. Do you think that Anand sits down every week and decides what ads to put in there? Obiously not. he either has someone that takes care of it for him, or ad companies put them in automatically. There isn't really anything to discuss here, that's just how it is.

I just looked at the main site. There are ads for crucial and MSI too, I guess Anand is just in their pockets as well? I think there used to be an ATI ad, that explains the recent article that said the GF3 was faster than the Radeon 8500, right?

I think the reason why this forum is free is because Anand can get some amount of cash from the advertisements. Do you want to give some amount of your cash to Anand in order to eliminate the ads that you don't like?????
