Tonight I switched to Firebird over IE, Trillian over AIM, and iTunes for streaming audio. (I still use Winamp with MAD for Mp3s).
So far, I'm loving the changes!

firebird is a piece of sh!t when it comes to stability. i still use it as my main browswer though because tabbed browsing = 0wnij. extensions/add-ons are cool also. trillian blows also. aim/deadaim > trillian. none of my friends use any other instant messengers so i have no need for trillian.Originally posted by: BaboonGuy
Firebird = no activex, so it's much more secure. I have had it crash on me a few times though, but overall it's light years ahead of IE

Do you think its only a matter of time before hijack websites learn to rape Firebird, or is it inherently more secure?
Opera may use a nice chunk of RAM, but the cool features FAR outweigh the lost RAM. Not to mention that it's even less targeted by hackers than Mozilla\Firebird. Opera combines tabbed browsing, mouse gestures (more useful than you'd think), and a slick skinnable interface.Originally posted by: MacBaine
Opera is a bloated piece of sh!t. Mozilla is slow and clunky. I find IE to be fast, efficient, and simple.
