I was picking up my lunch (Kung Pao Shrimp & Scallops) when I received a call but couldn't answer it fast enough. So they left a voicemail message, it was a local focus group marketing research company I have worked with before. I called them back, she told me here's the deal:
I get an easy $75 cash to sit down in a small group and talk for 2 hours about computers.
Screener questions were:
1) Do you use a personal computer at home? Yes.
2) Do you use a personal computer at work? Yes.
3) What's your fastest internet connection, 56k or broadband? Broadband.
4) Then about 8 questions regarding listening to music CD's on the computer, watching DVD's on the computer, ripping CD's, d/l MP3's, bruning CD's, etc. I answered yes and no to these questions.
Unfortunately I answered one of the questions incorrectly which resulted in me being dis-qualified for the focus group 🙁
So like a junkie, I asked if there were any other focus groups? Yep on the Oregon Lottery (which I rarely play), said she'll call me in a week when they begin that study.
Argh I could have earned an easy tax free $75 in cash!!!
