... and I have to say I'm very impressed. It has speeded up my Evo considerably, and there are no issues that I've found. HDMI may not work, but I've read that it does... I'll know for sure later today when I get the cable.

The Gingerbread keyboard is also much better than the stock Sense keyboard, IMO. Battery life is up, too.

Best "feature"? No Sprint bloatware.

How about voicemail? Does it work like it should or do you still get a damn text message with a link? That alone has me not upgrading to it again, haven't touched it since RC6.

Yeah I've been running CM7 since just before RC2 on my Incredible and I love it. It's had a few issues for a few nightlies here and there but for the most part it's been working great.

I'm running Incredikernal which underclocks when the screen is off, as well as audioboost/fast charge. Battery life is much, much better. I've also heard that the stock kernel has gotten better but I haven't tried it.

Don't know, yet. I don't get calls very often, and voicemail even less.

I went from stock (Sense, with Froyo) to CM7 RC3, and I'm satisfied with everything enough to not be interested in tweaking it any more.

Yeah it's very good as-is. I'm just a tinkerer and I like to try out new stuff :p

I've rooted/installed CM7 on an EVO for a friend and it definitely was an improvement. Both my friend and my brother who both have EVO's have been happy with the increased battery life.

Why wouldn't you use Google Voice for voicemail? It beats my carrier's voicemail solution by far

GV and Sprint have issues integrating (until they roll out their new stuff with the Nexus S 4G). At this point, it's easier to get Sprint's VVM app working than to switch to GV.

I need to get around to giving this a shot. I rooted my EVO almost as soon as I got it to tether (which I've still never done since initially I couldn't get it to work properly) but I just haven't spent the time to research how to load up these custom ROMs.

If you have it rooted, it's as simple as copying the ROM (and the latest version of G-apps) to the SD card, booting into Clockwork Recovery, backing up the existing ROM, wiping it out, and loading the new ROM.

Took me all of 15 minutes, from backing up the stock ROM to running CM7.

Ohh, RC3 is out for the Dinc too. Nice. Downloading now.

I've been running RC1 since its release. Battery life went from absolute crap to very respectable. I tried RC2 for about a day but saw much lower battery life so I reverted to RC1. I guess I'll see now if RC3 is similar to RC1...

They've updated the stock CM7 kernal for the Inc in the nightlies since RC2 which from what I hear on XDA forums greatly improves battery life. I run a different kernel though so I can't speak firsthand to it.

DOH I just loaded CM7 on my Droid, and not thinking when it rebooted and wanted to install all the Google Apps I let it. Forgetting I'm on Page Plus and don't get any data from them. I just shot thru $11 in about 60 seconds. And it didn't even download finish downloading all the apps lol. By the time I realized it wasn't using Wifi, it was too late, my balance is now at zero.

on the plus side CM7 looks pretty nice.

Do you know of any regular issues off the top of your head? I switched over to google voice for voicemail for about 2 weeks now and haven't had any issues, but again, it's really only been 2 weeks and I've only had about 4 voicemails during the timeframe.

EVO here. A couple of issues.
GPS doesn't work. And I can't get Google Reader to pull up my articles. Besides that, its fantastic. Going back to stock until they fix the GPS issue.
BTW, RC4 was released. Today. Doesn't yet address the GPS issue on the EVO.

What's a good kernel to use with RC4? Interested in battery saving features and stability rather than speed.

GPS issue fixed.
However I get a weird issue with the gallery. I click on a pic, and a different pic shows up.

Well, HDMI doesn't work for me... unless there's something special that has to be done.

Read through the changelog for RC4.. doesn't seem like anything too significant. I think I'm gonna wait for the final release to flash anything else.

I'm with you except I've been using GV for my sprint voicemail for... 6 months? It has worked flawlessly except some of the voice to text stuff is something a bit off... but thats not a sprint thing and it is very good for what it is.
