I think "Don't Look Back in Anger" is the best song on What's the Story...Morning Glory?

Agreed. Oasis is so underrated.
The Gallagher brothers overrate themselves though. Didn't Liam once claim that they were the next Beatles?

#1 reason why I can not stand them. If their ego's got any bigger it would have begun eating itself.

Yeah they did claim they were the next Beatles.

They're just brilliant song writers (Noel), great vocals (Liam) and great musicians too. I haven?t seen a band since them with so much potential. The Gallagher brothers (Liam and Noel) were brilliant, but didn?t get along at all, plus they were so arrogant, and just seemed to not give a F*** about anything, this ruined them.

Also, I think they did say they were the next Beatles, the media shouldn?t have hyped them up that much, which boosted their confidence and arrogance too far.

"What's the Story morning glory?" and "Bigger, better, faster, more!" by 4 Non Blones are the only albums where I liked almost all the songs. Of course, 4 Non Blondes folded after doing their first album :(

They apparently blew their load with the first 2 albums. Most of those songs that made them famous were written before they recorded the debut album. They were sitting on a stockpile of songs and were able to milk it for 2 albums, which I guess is still better than most bands. Even then, they were stretching 3-4 minute songs into 5-6 minutes with repeated choruses, ad nauseum. Bleh.

They came along at the right time and were able to deliver some huge anthemic bar songs, but they're derivative and haven't shown signs of getting better as they go along. US radio and TV played the daylights out of them in 1995/96, piss poor attitudes and all. It's Oasis who torpedoed themselves with followup material like All Around the World, a video that MTV barely played in the US cause it was an overproduced mess of nearly 10 minutes of them singing the same chorus 50,000 times.
