Don't know if this was a recent change, but if you're browsing the forum topics and you double click a line on a topic you created, you can change the title of the thread.

Was this recent or am I way behind?

Just the grey bar... like just to the right of the thread title. It has to be a thread you created.

If you hover your mouse pointer NOT over the link, but still get the preview of how the thread starts as a pop up, it should work.

I've encountered it before by accident, but it's never useful to me because I do almost everything from iOS devices now (double-tapping just zooms in with Safari mobile).
