Just installed Win2K - weird problem

I previously had ME on my HD, so I needed to reformat before installing Win2K. I used a Win98 boot disk so I could run "fdisk" and reformat to prepare the HD for the new installation. After I reformatted the HD, I put the Win2K cd in and changed the cd-rom to my boot drive. I booted up off of the Win2K cd and installed it from there.

The problem is that now it gives me the screen where you have to choose an operating system upon boot-up. I have to manually choose between Windows and Windows 2000, as if it's dual booted, but it's not. How did this happen and how do I fix it? Was this b/c I used the Win98 boot disk?

I'm also using a WD 40GB 7200 HD.

Fastball - simple problem to fix... you can just go ahead and have Windows 2000 bypass this screen and immediately load Windows 2000 right off the bat.

Simply do the following:

Go to System in your Control panel
Then go to Advanced then change the default Display list of operating systems for 30 seconds to 0 secojnds... and you're set

you can also remove the win98 option by deleting it's line from the boot.ini file in c: (it's a hidden file). there is also a setting in boot.ini to change what the 'default' option is & how long the delay should be. I reccomend just doing what golden guppy reccomended.
