Just installed redhat 7.3 on my machine at work.

under the recommendation of the unix sysadmin upstairs. He thought I'd benefit from dual booting with win2k, so now I've got both

Small world, exact same thing happened today.

Unix sysadmin recommended that I put Redhat7.3 on the machine I am building. Anyway, he had a bad install copy, so I gotta do 7.2 and then upgrade to 7.3. HEE HEE.

Yeah, I have a fair bit of experience w/ linux, and a bit with solaris and HPUX.

You coulda just downlaoded a new redhat 7.3 image

where are you guys d/l them from? everywhere i try im getting about 3-5k a second.

im thinking about going the cheapbytes route now.

http://www.redhat.com/download/mirror.html <- go through the .edu links till you get one that's not full. I got 75k/sec of uci's site.

So far, it seems a lot like 7.2, but it's only been installed for 15 minutes. I'm installing the AFS client now.

I downloaded from Buffulo edu's ftp. I used Getright so I got about 240k/sec
