OK, I'm pretty much a Linux newbie....I've installed this RedHat 6.2 a few times, not used much. The CD-R's gotten pretty scratched up, barely got it installed this time. So at first boot, I've already forgotten the login/password :| The CD doesn't want to install again, prolly because it's beat up.....any way I can clear the login/password without reinstalling?

Thanks
JC

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Thats a pain isnt it? Im not laughing at you, by the way, Im laughing with you. Been there, done that ;)

Boot into single user mode. Do a search on google.com/linux on how to do it. It should be something like (at the LILO: prompt): "linux -s" Of course, replace linux with the name of your kernel or whatever.

It might be worth it to get a new copy :)

My Debian Woody Beta was like $8 shipped.
