Just Installed my new X2 4200+

Hey everyone,
Just got my new computer up and running.....see specs below. I was just wondering if there were any patches for XP for running a dual core or anything like that or any other software I should be running thanks.......

The only thing I saw was that both cores seem to be running "insyc" with one another.......when I go into the task manager during video encoding for example.....both graph lines rise and fall together.......Is that the way it's supposed to run........I thought It was suppossed to dedicate one core to a process.......now they aren't exactly the same so maybe I'm wrong
