I've installed all of the plugins but I don't think they are working well. I'm especially having trouble when it somes to things that require either java or shockwave... The images load but I just can't do anything with them, eg. clicking on a game to do an action.

There are also some pages that are larger than I can see on the screen but I can't scroll down. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
 
I've been using Firebird for about three months without any problems like that. Have you gone to the Firebird forum? I found it very helpful just reading some of the posts. There are some very "Firebird knowledgeable" people posting there.
 
did you install them from within the browser itself? try going to the java and macromedia websites and download the installers for mozilla/firefox to your desktop then install them again. start your browser and test it again for java/shockwave functions.
