Now every douchebag fratboy, coffee house faux-intellectual, and suburban fashionista on the planet is going to want their own cancer. In white plastic, of course. Bring on the accessories.

🙁 I'm not a fan of Apple really, or care anything about his work, but Steve seemed like an alright guy, and I feel bad for him and his family for having to go through this.

Makes me think of that movie 'My Life' with Michael Keaton, just watched that the other night.

Ugh, I watched that movie about a year ago and was horribly depressed.

Heh, I had the misfortune of watching that the same night I watched 'Seven Pounds'. It was a back-to-back ass kicking of myself, incredibly depressing films in different ways.

At least Michael Keaton's character seemed to have found peace before the end. Great film.

Would it be a great loss if those demographics did?

Sidenote: I hope you're not trying to delude yourself into thinking all human life is special. We're talking about the same species responsible for Who's The Boss, Joseph Stalin, and those little rubber testicles that rednecks hang on their trucks.

Think the aliens aren't out there at all, or are just avoiding us?

Well, by your statement of "Not even remotely funny" you imply there's something distasteful about making fun of Steve Jobs's potential cancer, or hormone disorder, or whatever the fuck he has.

Care to enlighten me if that's not the case?

Sure, I never said all human life is special - I said cancer isn't funny. Enlightened yet?

Whatever happened to the whole "apple a day" thing?

Sorry...couldn't help it. 😛 I heard he was sick or on medical leave, but didn't know it was cancer. Basically, with the cancer being in his pancreas, I'm sure it masticates easily to other vital organs and is difficult to treat.

It's sort of like colon cancer. If it's not caught early, the only solution is to cut out the portion of your intestines that are infected...then you're still at risk of not having all of it cut out. Otherwise, your liver could get it and then you're done becuase it will spread everywhere from there. Cancer ain't pretty.

Despite my feelings toward Apple and the havok Mac OS and its users have caused me at work, I wish Steve the best.
