Just how bad is Pizza for you?

Say you consume the equivalent of a small pizza, no toppings or anything special like stupid stuffed crust.. just how bad is it for you compared to the average dinner?

Well you don't get much nutrition in that, so there's not much positive in that..but if you go for a pizza as plain as that then you won't be hurting all that much either.

Generally though for a normal pizza, the cheese will be very fattening, bread will be full of simple carbs (bad), toppings such as pepperoni sausages will also be high in fat, and any sauces generally won't help much either.

Maybe if you got a thin crust, low cheese/sauce with lots of veggies on it there can be redeeming qualities in that.

Pizza can be healthy. Ontario's largest chain, Pizza Pizza, has multigrain crust at no extra charge, and a shltload of toppings. Probably low fat cheese too. In conclusion, pizza rocks.

Pizza is the worst noxious heart clogging junk known to man( and some of the worst stuff known to woman).it has all of the very worst ingredients- mega carbs, super fat meat, heart clogging cheese. Well, i found a great pizza that is quick and easty to make and is delicious(okay, maybe not as delicious as the cardiac special!) heres the recipe for jerryjg's personal pizza-- 1) low carb spinach or jalepeno flatbread 2) half of one small can tomatoe sauce 3) 1 and 1/2 cup soy cheese ( wal-mart has the best deal- 3.29 for 2 pounds of cheddar jack soy chees) 4) put the sauce, then the soycheese , then sprinkle youre favourite veggies(mushrooms, olives, bell pepper, jalepeno, spinach) on top, spray a little veg oil and put in microwave for a few minutes. DONE--now..throw it out and go get a pepperoni and mushroom from Dominoes!!!

If you love salt and fat, have at it.

I've been doing that since birth actually. 😛

everytime anyone i know does that around a good buddy of mine he always retorts "yea.. but how much grease and crap is still in that pizza. That paper towel has what.. 5% of what your about to consume? pffbt good luck with that". We refer to him as the pizzass.

They will definitely put on the weight. And they're not that great health-wise if you eat them all the time.

But I'd eat a pizza in a heartbeat over any of that crap fried in hydrogenated oils from fast-food places and restaurants, or any prepackaged stuff of a similar nature.
