dab the slice with a paper towel

I've been doing that since birth actually. :p

everytime anyone i know does that around a good buddy of mine he always retorts "yea.. but how much grease and crap is still in that pizza. That paper towel has what.. 5% of what your about to consume? pffbt good luck with that". We refer to him as the pizzass.

5% is 5%

For minimal effort, why not?

Well, i found a great pizza that is quick and easty to make and is delicious(okay, maybe not as delicious as the cardiac special!) heres the recipe for jerryjg's personal pizza-- 1) low carb spinach or jalepeno flatbread 2) half of one small can tomatoe sauce 3) 1 and 1/2 cup soy cheese ( wal-mart has the best deal- 3.29 for 2 pounds of cheddar jack soy chees) 4) put the sauce, then the soycheese , then sprinkle youre favourite veggies(mushrooms, olives, bell pepper, jalepeno, spinach) on top, spray a little veg oil and put in microwave for a few minutes. DONE--now..throw it out and go get a pepperoni and mushroom from Dominoes!!!

Hahha... I was wondering if Walmart actually sold soy cheese. No Super Walmart around here...

Pizza has been a huge part of my diet for the last 15 years or more. I'm in decent health.

Too many factors to say. It's one of those sneaky foods that can quickly add up in calories.

Bread + high fat meats, + sauce + cheese + some ranch dressing or butter to dip the crust in = megacalories.

Your average Digorno or Fresheta pizza is around 1500-1800 calories for the whole thing. That's anywhere from 75%-90% of one persons daily caloric intake.

it's deceptive, pizza isn't AS bad for you as people say... for example, pizzahut stuffed crust pizza (I use pizzahut because they seem about the greasiest), each piece of a large has around 200 calories -300 calories depending on the toppings. Now, times 8, you have 1600-2400 calories. Not great, but hell, thats a whole large pizza. If you got it plain, it would be 1600calories, which wouldn;t push a normally healthy eating person so far over in calories for the day

First you eat a large potion of mixed salat, no dressing. Then eat pizza afterwards.

The massive, I mean massive amount of salt in pizza not only is unhealthy, but annoying as hell.

I mostly eat whole foods, but I do eat papa johns every couple weeks. I have to drink like half a gallon of water after eating it.

I just looked up papa johns nutritional stuff, and they don't use trans fats. So it's just the salt, calories, saturated fats you need to worry about.

Don't worry about dietary cholesterol. Nearly all of your cholestrol comes from your liver manufacturing it from trans fats and saturated fats.

Who cares...I eat pizza even though I know that fresh vegetables and grilled chicken would be better for me.

Sodium is only bad if you have pre-existing heart problems or hypertension.

Pizza really isn't all that bad. It's got a lot of good stuff in it if you get the right toppings. Chicken, veggies, and mushrooms are all good choices, and the mozzarella cheese they use is low fat. The crust isn't all that great though, and pepperoni, sausage, black olives will cause the fat factor to skyrocket. Ground beef is actually the best choice for a meat topping because it's precooked when it's put on the pizza, so a lot of the grease is drained away.

Enjoy!

Depends on your choice of toppings, I mean a pizza has grain which is good and it can have meat and veggies along with diary.

Remember guys, most pizza gives you 5 food groups, bread, veggies, fruit (tomato), meat and cheese.

And plus tomatos has been shown to help prevent prostate cancer so we don't need to worry about it falling off. :D

1 medium (12") pizza hut cheese pizza has 100% of your suggest daily value of calories and 150% fat. That's definetly worse the most people's normal dinners.
