Just heard traffic light cameras to be removed

But because of less tickets being given out they can't make budget so they are removing the cameras.

I don't have a source, I caught the end of it on the npr radio. I'm not sure which area they where refering to either.

Public safety ftw?
 
A major one around here is being removed because it's near one of the largest malls in the country, and the village got hundreds of complaint letter from people saying they were going to stop shopping at the mall. Village collected something like $600k in a matter of months from the camera.
