lol I can really imagine witnessing/hearing that. The stuff some people do on their laptops in class is kind of comical.

I would switch to other sites versus recording notes on some occasions, doing so briefly, but mostly sticking to the point at hand. Sometimes I would have seen other people doing something else the entire time, not recording anything once. I think, "maybe they were recording in audio or video form, thereby having the best types of study methods... but, sometimes notes still reign supreme." But most often, they probably are jut doing jack shit, almost wasting the entire point of lecture.. but whatever.

But sometimes the places people go to (so easy to see on some occasions, like they are actually disobeying the common courtesy of sitting in the back-row or off-center, and instead near the front. idiots/assholes), is just comical. Some I swear spent half their time (of the entire lecture) on facebook...
Though, my brief forays onto the web were mostly in regards to following my portfolio and playing around with stock trades. :D

Or someone screwed with his system sounds when he wasn't paying attention. Last department I worked in you had to lock the pc if you got up or someone would add a Michael Jackson sound clip when you got mail, and of course the volume was cranked up.

He probably closed his laptop with porn playing and forgot about. Today, when he opened the laptop the video started playing where it left off.

I've done the same thing in class once, but it was just music and not a porn video :)

When I taught grade school computing, there was a 3rd grader that was named "The Little Fondler" by the other teachers. Sure enough I found that this kid was a perv. He used to load up some porn sites and sit there pawing the screen. I gave that kid detention many times.
