Just heard the scariest thing on radio... something Creed

I'm glad I don't listen to Creed anymore. I was going through my bookmarked internet radio stations in WinAmp and came across their song "Don't Stop Dancing." I say the band is officially ruined starting with the Weathered CD. Blech! :disgust:

Ruined? That would imply they had some shred of talent at some point.

I thought My Own Prison and Human Clay (with the exception of WAWO) showed some potential.

WAWO? With Ayes Wide Open?

😛

Even the DJ at the radio station here thinks they suck. "I've got some good music coming up for you by tool, the deftones, creed, and Sum41. Ok, good except for creed".

It's got to be all the fans that like WAWO and made them think they needed to change to meet what the fans wanted, not the music they wanted to write.

a few years ago when creed first came out...1999 or so...
i worked with this guy @ a grocery store who was wearing a pantera shirt, i asked him while stocking shelves what other bands he was into.
he named the usual metal bands, but he mentioned creed....i said "creed? arent they a christian band or something?"
he replied..."no way man, creed rocks too hard to be christian." i kind of chuckled to myself about that.

<flamesuit on>

I like Creed. I don't like "Don't Stop Dancing", but Six feet Under, What If, Bullets, Are You Ready are all good songs.

And no, I'm not a Christian.

I liked My Own Prison when it first came out, but that's about it.

The lead dude from Creed says he learned all he knows from Metallica. Well, he didn't learn enough.

if everyone hates creed, who likes them and why does the radio keep playing them?
Just because most people on this board hate them doesn't mean EVERYONE does. I think you'd be hard-pressed to find some Justin Timberlake or Avril Lavigne fans around here, yet they sell millions of records.

Plus, you need to remember its "cool" to hate creed here. One person bashed creed, then another, and it has snowballed into one giant creed-hating extravaganza.

Yup. Since so many people hate creed here, I'm in the minority. Therefore, since I'm in the minority, they MUST be good (see underground crap that people think is so good because popular culture doesn't listen to it). Thus, I'm cool and everyone else here sucks goat nads for breakfast.

That's not underground enough for me.
