Even if your are an athiest or non-Christian, you have to respect a man, rightly or wrongly, who commands the attention of over 1 billion people on this planet.

I am a christian, heck I am a catholic but not very religious. He was a good leader, but I won't get all teary eyed over his death. Its a sad loss, but it was gonna happen. Life goes on and the world keeps spinning, rejoice in his good deeds and don't take this too hard all you hard-core catholics out there. Have a few beers tonight and dedicate one to a dead homie. RIP

drudge pulled the "he's dead jim" from the site

i don't think anybody knows except the people inside the vatican, but i am guessing "false alarm"

BAHAHHAHAHAHA

I'm sorry, but that was good. 😀

In all seriousness, WTF is the church going to do if the Pope ends up in a PVS for the next 15 years? There will obviously be no plug-pulling, but there won't be anyone at the helm of the church either, right?

I'm sure there is some contingency plan if the Pope is alive but incapacitated.

He has stated he wanted to be kept alive.

Sadly, it won't be long. Organ failure will be occurring and then the body will just finally give up. I just hope he's not suffering. I doubt he is.

this is exactly what i was thinking with it constantly going back and forth..

"i'm feeling much better"
"no you aren't you'll be stone dead in a moment"
"i feel haapppppyyyyy, i feeel happppyyyy"

That would not be the case since his body is what has failed.
