Just happy to still be alive

For all the world's troubles I am still just happy to wake up in the morning. Despite treatment side effects Opdivo has given me 27 months of extra life so far.

My son will soon begin his last semester at UMass, I will live to see him walk in that cap & gown & graduate with some honors next May.

No matter what troubles you, be glad you woke up this morning, every day above ground is a good thing 🙂

Fight on!

Good you can see your son graduate from university. My mother didn't live long enough to see me graduate high school.

This is how I look at every day any more.

They may be painful days, and there may be miserable days, but I'd rather have these days than no days.

Hang in there 🙂

He is my youngest, my baby, he struggles with Autism & just amazes me more & more everyday.

So sorry for the loss of your mother 🙁

Keep up the good fight, it sounds like you have alot to live for and thats great!

A positive mental outlook is likely your best tool to fight any physical ailments in life.

Once I knew I had to tell my son I had cancer, I have told him again & again that no matter what happens to me he MUST finish, he has to get that degree. Poor dude is probably sick of hearing it, but falling apart just isn't an option for him. One more semester, just one more!

I suspect he will miss college, he's already texting me about getting an MBA. School gave him a place in the world where he was accepted, where he felt like he belonged.

While its easy to get lost in suffering and self pity there are many wonderful things that can be found everyday if you look for them. Congratulations on another day in the sun (along with hopefully many more), being able to see your son walk and congratulations to him on his accomplishment

Someone has to keep an eye on you people 🙂

What do you mean by 'you people'? 😀

Everyone needs to feel that they belong, that they are heard, that they have worth, that there's a place for them and that they matter.. You have made sure your son persevered through what must have been a long and exhausting personal gauntlet to get to that place, Jean, against long, long odds.
