Just had my first strawberry daiquiri

You don't like fruit? Without the booze, a daiquiri is just basically fruit juice and crushed ice. What part don't you like?

well it being a mix might have been the problem, and there was no fruit. It was a thick, syrup like liquid and I had to add water and ice.

Oh that's the problem, you need a good one made, with fruit, done properly, they are good.

I think the hint of alcohol ruins the fruitiness of it. Strawberries are soooo good. Alcohol is bitter. Strawberries + alcohol = poopy

If the OP wants some fruit blends I would suggest using real fruit and adding some type of sweetener, otherwise a fruit icee isn't going to tast very good. And forget those mixes.
