Well actually it was to all of his friends but it says:

"M2AF: This sounds retarded but send me a reason y i should live becouse i rather be dead right now then in my house and some of u dont know me and if u dont know me or want to deal with me then take me off"


He's also changed his profile to read:

"im torn in 2 a part of me wants to die finding no reason to live. yet another part wants to move foward. one part dosent care what happens to me and the other cares what ppl think. the part of me that wants to die is winning.sueicide is another word that i spell wrong and means i give up"


So what should I do?

He turned out to be an emo ADULT. And an asshole to boot.
 
I wouldn't mind having a second xbox, there's some cash in it for you if can get it for me and it is in good condition. I don't want any of the old RROD ones though.

If he was in real 'trouble' he wouldn't be messaging random people, he'd focus on people he actually knew. Sounds like an attention whore to me.

You can't really help him then. I'd send him a message saying that suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem, and advising him to call the suicide prevention hotline at 1-800-273-TALK.

Then i'd forget about him/remove him. Hopefully someone on his list actually knows him, and can get him help if he needs it.
 
Do you know where he lives or any details from the real world? If so, call 911. Seriously.

Possible outcomes:
1) The kid is suicidal. Congrats, you got him help.
2) The kid is an emo attention seeking prick who's going to have to explain his actions to his family/police. Congrats, you just called him on his bullshit.

Either way, you come out ahead and shouldn't get anymore unpleasant messages. Yes, calling 911 will make you feel like a dope for a couple of minutes but so after it's done, you'll realize it was a good call.

If you find and view their profile, there's an option to report their profile to M$. At least, there was before this whole XBL "experience" upgrade thing.
 
How do you become friends with random people on XBL? I play COD4 online on PS3 a lot, and the only people on my friends list are people I know in person.
