I didn't pay $50 to get something with paper sleeves! What happened to a nice 3 disc jewel case with the cd number on the back? Now I gotta make sure I don't lose the stupid manual or one of the discs. I'm sorely disappointed with Atari's packaging...and Atari...back from the grave or what?

i know what you mean
not to get off topic :)D) but im having a strange problem with my copy
i try installing it and it gets bout 30 seconds into the first disc when it gives me a read error and tells me to check the disc to make sure its clean
i did that and even copied the whole cd onto the hard drive to see if the disc was readable and i was able to but it still won't install
any ideas before i return the game?

Are you using a DVD-rom or an older cd-rom? Both of these seem to be having problems with the newer copy protection schemes they are using. I do not know what scheme UT2k3 uses but that may be the problem.

Another smooth move by Epic/DE/Atari with the paper sleeves and copy protection. If you read Penny Arcade, you'll notice that Tycho hasn't shut the hell up about UT2k3 crashing on him due to that constantly. Being unable to install it just smokes the floppy one though. It should install if copied to the HD - use CloneCD to read the subchannel data, then mount it using Daemon Tools and install. Enjoy.

hmmm, Atari also released Neverwinter Nights, but I'm pretty sure my copy came with the case, not sleeves.

wow...so for some people to install it they have to hack it and then install it? Way to go Epic.

At least the game is really fun...makes up for this crap.
