$11,000 in parts and labor!! OUCH! .. insurance is paying all but the deductible but thats nuts!

Oh my, that is a ridiculous amt. If the repair costs are greater than the car's worth, isn't it considered totalled?

A local body shop that was recommended by a dealer i know.. also happened to be a preferred shop of my insurance company
 
That sucks, I feel for you. I had two minor accidents earlier today after dropping off the kids. Once guy left me off the hook, I fled the seen for the other one.
 
Sounds good. A good shop will make all the difference when it's time to sell the car. Make sure they know that you expect perfection in the body panel alignment and paint job.

True.. my insurance also gives a guaranty on the work of this shop so thats good.

you fled the scene? thats not too smart. thats called hit-and-run and thats also against the law.
 
Well, I got out of my car to talk to the lady I hit, and she attacked me with her purse. I hit her with my purse a few times and slapped her around a bit, and sped off while she was still getting up. Looks like my insurances rates will stay ok.

Spun out on an old wooden bridge in the rain and hit a guard rail.

a bunch of parts need to be replaced and they are OEM parts so the are quite expensive (read: overpriced)

for example.. they want almost $1200 for a head light assembly. the wheels (needs 1 new one) are $600.. so you see how this can add up
heck the paint alone is over $500.

nutty if you ask me.. but what can ya do?
