I know, I know - welcome to 2006.

The voice quality is fantastic.

Now, what webcam is everyone using??

welcome to 2003/2004, actually. 😉

Logitech Quickcam pro 9000, works great, good clarity.

I'm using the same camera.

I started using Skype after Christmas. I bought my Grandmother one of the Logitech 9000's so she could see the family freezing while her and my Grandfather play Floridians for the winter.

Can I do unlimited calls to mobile phones with this?

If you're calling a real phone line then you need to purchase Skype OUT minutes. They are super cheap.

Calling from Skype-to-Skype is always free.

Skype is alright, but I prefer Ventrilo for voice coms, but that's mostly because I don't like constant communication as what if I have to cough or clear my throat. I don't exactly like communicating my guttural noises through voice com as well. Unless there's some sort of Push To Talk mechanism that I'm missing in Skype?

it was cooler before ebay bought it when most calls were free

It's still free if both persons use Skype, but for 2 cents a minute Asia to N America, I can't't complain.

29 cents for US to UK Mobiles. Damn - that hurts.
