Just got Skype

I use Skype as my primary phone. For $6 a month, you can't beat it. I have a GE 2-in-1 phone with built-in Skype firmware.

oovoo > skype

Nope. oovoo = resource hog.

I just downloaded oovoo.

I can't figure out if the developers are being paid off, or if they're just dense.

You need a dual core CPU to do high resolution (640x480) WTH? It is also using a ridiculously unacceptable amount of CPU in standard resolution right now.

And it's noise cancellation sucks too.

I just use my laptop webcam though I've never actually used my webcam on skype before

it was cooler before ebay bought it when most calls were free

It's still free if both persons use Skype, but for 2 cents a minute Asia to N America, I can't't complain.

The only excuse for that would be that it's using some kind of insane compression scheme.

The voice quality is fantastic.
I don't know if it is their setup or not, but the calls I've gotten from Bangkok over Skype have horrible VQ.
