So I have kerateconus and my custom RGP lenses came in today. They are the Rose-K lenses.

Can anyone comment on these:

1. I can see the edge on both of them. When I manually position them I can actually see the entire circular edge of the lens.

2. Every time I blink my top lid drags up the lenses, causing them to decenter. EVERY TIME I BLINK.

3. If I open my eyes wide I can see the entire circular edge of the lens.

Does this indicate that the lens is too small? How do I keep my eyelid from decentering the lens every time I blink?

think it's best to talk to your optometrist about it

when I wore RGP lenses, I did not experience any of the 3 items you have observed

Might not be centering correctly on your cone. I'm fairly surprised that your optometrist didn't want to see them in your eyes? Usually with RGPs they do because it's quite possible for them to not fit at all.

it should be fine,
rigids take time to get used to since they will force your cornea into the respective shape of the lens.

I did orthokeratotomy and the reshaping process took around 4 months during which i was given multiple sets of lenses that got progressively flatter. Each time the new set would slip all over my cornea for a week until it adjusted to the new shape. The final retainer set of lenses dont shift noticeably unless i rub my eyes.

He did check to see if it was centering correctly and all that, but I guess I have a wider field of view than he anticipated?

BTW, last night while trying to blink out one of them I thought I had lost it. Searched all over until I figured out that it was lost somewhere IN MY EYE SOCKET.
